Congratulations on your solar installation! To maximise your investment our Coast Wide Energy team have prepared this easy checklist. It contains the best ways to maintain your system to ensure you are able to maximise the output and reduce any financial losses over the lifespan of the system.
Your Coast Wide Energy Maintenance Checklist
Every week
Check the inverter (or system output) is operating close to what is expected, is kept clean to prevent heat build up and there is no water penetrating any housing equipment.
Every 3 months
Although the rain will usually keep your panels clean, it is important to check that the panels and surrounding wiring are kept clean of dust, leaves, ash, debris and bird droppings as this can impact your solar system efficiency
If you do find conditions are exceptionally dusty or dry you may need to clean the panels with warm water and a sponge in the late afternoon or early morning (when out of direct sunlight). Alternatively, feel free to contact Coast Wide Energy to book in a maintenance visit.
Visually check the integrity of the brackets, wiring and cabling for any loose connections or any discolouration to the panels
Every 6 months
Check all cables, conduits, switches and frames are free of rust or corrosion and that all cables are secure
Once a year
Book in your yearly Coast Wide Energy maintenance visit here where our certified team will check all brackets, conduct a thorough clean of all panels and check all wiring and cabling.
